Description
An early 20th century 9ct gold pendant, with chain. Of openwork design, the circular-shape garnet trefoil, with split pearl foliate detail, within an openwork scalloped surround, suspended by trace-link chain. Length of pendant 2.3cms. Length of chain 48cms. Weight 3.5gms.
Overall condition fair to good. Some surface scratches/ wear, discolouration and minor dents in keeping with general age and wear. Garnet medium pinkish red, fairly well saturated, with fair clarity and typical inclusions. Stones in fair condition with some abrasion and minor nibbles to the girdle and facet edges. Split pearls creamy yellow colour, with rose and greenish overtones. Minor nacre damage to some. Fairly good lustre. Stamped 9ct. Condition reports are offered as a guide only and we highly recommend inspecting any lot to satisfy yourself as to its condition.
