Commentary by Cristoforo Landino. This is folio LXXXI from Inferno. The passage in larger typeset in Italian surrounded by commentary.
The Divine Comedy is a 14th century epic poem by Dante Alighieri. It is considered on the greatest works of both Italian and world literature. The poem describes Dante's travels through Hell, Purgatory, and Paradise or Heaven. The first section, Inferno tells the journey of Dante through Hell, guided by the ancient Roman poet Virgil.
