English Carved Rosewood Canterbury, c. 1910, with four slatted periodical compartments, over a lower drawer, on turned legs, H.- 22 1/2 in., W.- 19 in., D.- 13 in.
Condition
Condition consistent with age and use. Glue residue in several joints. Half of trim on back left finial lacking. An approximate ¼ inch gap between the boards on the top. Two 1/8 inch gaps between two top horizontal pieces and posts. Four 1/8 inch gaps between horizontal pieces and vertical slats. Scattered smaller separations. An approximate 2 inch chip in a lower middle horizontal piece. Wood beetle damage to the left knob. Light discoloration and spots, possibly from water damage, to the front right side of the drawer and top right side. A handsome piece.
