Description
English Inlaid Mahogany Chest, 19th c., with a brushing slide over four graduated drawers, on bracket feet, H.- 37 in., W.- 36 in., D.- 19 3/4 in. Provenance: The Estate of James C. Westerfield, Jackson, Mississippi.
Condition
Condition consistent with age and use. Surface scratches are found throughout. Chips and losses found on the edges and corners of the top. Brush and slide is missing the left pull. The block to one foot is in the top drawer. 7 inch loss of beading on second drawer bottom. 2 1/2 inch loss of inlay on top left front side. Feet are scratched and chipped. An excellent example.
