ANCIENT CHINESE ARCHITECTURAL FRAGMENT - Portrait of the Buddha, Sui Dynasty/early Tang Dynasty (600-800 AD), part of a larger effigy statue, in high relief black stone, on a black museum mount. Roughly 19" x 11 1/2" x 6 1/2". Nice age patina. Ex-Collection of Professor Reginald R. Isaacs (1911-1986), Harvard University Harvard Charles Dyer Norton Professor of Regional Planning in 1951, Chair of the Dept. of City and Regional Planning, 1953-1964.
