Description
VICTORIAN DECORATED KEROSENE PARLOR LAMP, opal vase with brown shading and pastoral scene depicting a dog watching a flock of sheep at sunset and with a brass liner, drop-in brass font with a signed "ROYAL" flame spreader. Ball-form shade with matching brown ground depicting a shepherd at sunrise with his herd of sheep. Period signed, "EMPIRE" chimney. Possibly Pittsburgh Glass Co. Fourth quarter 19th century. 20 1/2" HOA, 14" H to the top of the flame spreader, 5" SQ base, 8 1/2" H shade.
Undamaged with an annealing line running across the body of the base, as made, scattered minor spots of wear to the decoration on the shade, shade with typical minor roughness to the fitter, as made.
