A fine grayish-celadon Chinese jade expertly carven in shape of tapering rectangular plaque carved in shallow relief to one side depicting three scholars on a boat, all set within cresting river water and surrounded by shading trees and rockwork in waterside landscape scene. Displayed upon an intriguingly carved wooden frame stand. The nephrite stone of an even pale-grayish tone is skillfully carved out of the grayish-brown inclusions of the stone detailing the cresting water.
