Description
Italy, Venice, 18th century CE. A bronze medal religious medal, probably struck in Venice, showing a crucifix on one side and the Lady of Loreto ("Maria Lavreta") on the other. These medals were made for pilgrims and other worshipers and sold in tourist destinations. This particular medal has been preserved and put into a modern 14k gold frame. A nicely wearable Baroque religious piece. Size: 26" L x 1" W (66 cm x 2.5 cm)
