Item Details

Description

Limoges style jug decorated with a large yellow butterfly done by Albert Valentien in 1883. Impressed on the base Rookwood, 1883, shape number 12, 3, G for Ginger clay, the small kiln mark and Mr. Valentien's incised initials. There is fine overall crazing and an unobtrusive firing separation on the underside of the handle. Height is 9 1/8 inches.
