Chinese, likely late Qing Dynasty (1644-1912). A carved circular scholar's inkstone, possibly carved from Duan stone, with smooth sunken palette emptying into a cloud shaped ink-pool flanked by mirrored recumbent fu dogs centered on a peach at their interior flank. Unmarked. Approximate height 4.5", diameter 9.75".
