The bookends are blue mulberry color depicting a sitting puppy or dog. They measure almost 5" tall, 4.5" across and 2.75" deep. Both have the Van Briggle hallmark, one has a chip in the underside corner, I have included a photo. The other has tiny pin size holes under the glaze, I think it is where heat escaped, I have included a photo. Circa 1930's-40's.
