Item Details

Description

Meriden Britannia Company (American, founded 1852). A silver plated tilting covered pitcher on stand, the kettle of tapering form supported on domical based raised on four scrolling feet issuing an openwork u-form frame bearing Neoclassical figural decoration to side supports and twisted self handle at top, the kettle with etched floral motif and molded flowers and scrolls, mounted to front of stand with a drip cup. Underside of cup, kettle, and stand with marks for the maker. Overall approximate height 19.5", width 9.375", depth 12".
