Russia, 1989 CE. A wooden whirligig Russian sailor holding a metal American flag in his left hand and a metal hammer and sickle Soviet flag in his right hand. He is mounted on a red half sphere signed “Constantin”. Made to commemorate the fall of the Berlin Wall. Figure is brightly painted with metallic details around the brim of the hat and the belt. Size: 6.2" W x 15.25" H (15.7 cm x 38.7 cm)
Provenance: ex-Morgan Collection, Santa Monica, CA.
