Description
China, Qing Dynasty or earlier, ca. 16th to 17th centuries CE. A beautiful bronze hu, a common Chinese vase form, with a gorgeous deep green bronze patina and reddish purple bronze. Hu are ritual vessels that projected the power of their owners through the use of precious material, bronze; they once held wine, and were likely buried with their owner. Size: 3.3" W x 5.15" H (8.4 cm x 13.1 cm)
