Description
Group of over 70 items with no duplication. Includes celluloid and lithographic portrait, jugate, illustrated, and party pinback buttons and studs [sizes from 1/2" diameter to 2-1/8" diameter]. Accompanied by a group imprinted satin ribbons and badges, several McKinley "Gold Bug" variations [sizes from 3/4" long to 3-1/2" long], and metal fobs. Features many collector's classic buttons and pins. Comprises 1.) Wm. McKinley 1896 & 1900 buttons and studs including portraits [10], jugates with Hobart [2], and jugates with T.R. [7]. Accompanied by a 1900 New York delegate's ribbon [with affixed State's seal celluloid] for the Philadelphia Convention and an Executive Committee badge with celluloid jugate [with T.R.] on ribbon imprinted "Paper and Associated Trades / Sound Money Club." 2.) William J. Bryan 1896, 1900, and 1908 portrait buttons and studs [5]. Accompanied by a leather strap fob with stamped badge "Bryan and Kern / 1908 / Washington" and a 10" long satin portrait ribbon imprinted "Welcome To The People's Friend / William J. Bryan / Oct.12,1909 / Seattle." With a group of stamped metal and illustrated celluloid buttons bearing his "16 to 1" slogan. 3.) Theodore Roosevelt 1904 portrait [4] and jugate with Fairbanks [2] buttons. Buttons include the well-known "Rough Rider" gubernatorial design with T.R. in Army uniform and swagged U.S. flags above. Accompanied by two 1905 Inauguration badges, a leather strap fob with stamped metal badge "For President Theodore Roosevelt," and two "Bull Moose" pins. 4.) Alton B. Parker and Henry G. Davis celluloid pinback jugate buttons [2].
