Description
China, Yuan Dynasty, 1271 to 1368 CE. A truly beautiful pale green glazed bowl with a stamped design beneath the glaze that shines through it in the interior center. The Yuan Dynasty, led by the Mongolian warlord Kublai Khan, established the Fuliang Ciju (Fuliang Porcelain Bureau), entrusted with porcelain production, at the kilning center of Jingdezhen and continued the use of other kilning centers, as at Longquan, which had begun production in the Song period (1127 to 1270 CE). These pottery items have a delicate beauty but also feel modern in their simplistic, functional style. Size: 5.9" W x 2.25" H (15 cm x 5.7 cm)
