Description
An early Victorian 12ct gold sapphire five-stone ring. The graduated rectangular and cushion-shape pink sapphire line, with scalloped sides, openwork shoulders and scrolling motif band. Hallmarks for Birmingham, 1856. Ring size O. Weight 1.4gms.
  • Overall condition fair to good. Some surface scratches/ wear, discolouration and minor dents in keeping with general age and wear.
  • Replacement stones.
  • Some replacement claws, some claws deficient.
  • Band is thin.
  • Evidence of repair to the inside of band, gallery and shoulders.
  • Gallery worn.
  • Sapphire medium slightly purplish-pink, fairly well saturated, with good clarity and typical inclusions.

  • Stones in good condition with minor abrasions.
