Description

A Large Four-Piece Matthew Boulton English Regency Silver Mirrored Plateau, Birmingham, England, circa 1810
Marks: (lion passant), (anchor), (duty mark), m, MB
2-7/8 h x 70 w x 16-1/2 d inches (7.3 x 177.8 x 41.9 cm)

The large plateau having large beaded trim to border, lower acanthus leaf bundled garland encased by two rows of gadrooning, raised on figural leaf and paw feet.

Condition

Scratching to mirror surface, some light losses to silvering to edges of each piece, losses to mirror backing to one endpiece near edge, joined sections do not sit fully flush with one another at seams, some missing screws, some beding to feet, otherwise presenting well with surface scratches commensurate with age, polishing, and use.
