Item Details

Description

Megilah on carved wood spindle. Scroll consists of 5 Sheets of 16 lines of hand illuminated scroll with decorative boarder on skin / vellum. Vellum measures 8 3/4 inches wide. The size with the carved wood spindle 17 1/2 inches. It is not signed. Condition , the first sheet has been exposed to elements and the most handling over the years. It has several older and newer tape repairs but 4 of the five sheets are in good condition with just some old oil marks from fingerprints. The carved wood spindle has chips and some losses.
