Quella qui presentata è la leggendaria striscia in cui Snoopy per la prima volta portò sulla sua cuccia la famosa macchina da scrivere e cominciò la sua carriera di scrittore. Grazie all'intuizione nata con questa striscia, Schulz diede vita ad una delle gag più famose nella storia dei comics contribuendo a far entrare i suoi personaggi nell'immaginario collettivo di milioni di persone. It was a dark and stormy night, for many readers this is the most famous starting line in world literature, not thanks to its original author Edward Bulwer-Lytton, but thanks to Schulz and his dog Snoopy, who, with his typewriter attempted time and time again to write the great American novel. The strip we are presenting here is the one where Snoopy brought his typewriter on top of his dog-house for the very first time, thus beginning his career as a writer. Thanks to the idea that was spawned by this very strip, Schulz created one of the most famous jokes in comic book history, allowing his characters to become part of the collective imagination of millions of people.
