Description
An Edwardian 18ct gold opal and diamond cluster ring. The oval opal cabochon, with rose-cut diamond marquise-shape surround and scrolling shoulders. Hallmarks for Birmingham, 1911. Ring size M. Weight 3.1gms.
Overall condition fair to good. Some surface scratches/ wear, discolouration and minor dents in keeping with general age and wear. Diamonds fairly bright. Cut and setting of rose-cut diamonds prevents total carat weight estimation. Individual size and setting of diamonds prevents accurate colour and clarity assessment. Opal with purple-blue-green play of colour. Stones in fair condition with some abrasion and minor nibbles to the girdle and facet edges.
