A Very Rare and Interesting Waite and Ridge Majolica Plaque depicting a Girl looking out to Sea c.1875. after a design by celebrated Minton artist William Coleman.Coleman produced and painted a large r A Very Rare and Interesting Waite and Ridge Majolica Plaque depicting a Girl looking out to Sea c.1875. after a design by celebrated Minton artist William Coleman. Coleman produced and painted a large range of plaques in the Aesthetic style whilst working freelance for Minton. He also produced designs and water colors for other manufacturers, including Pears Soap and Frys Chocolates. This plaque is the only known Majolica example of Coleman’s work, tile 8” x 10 ½”
