Catalog Notes: Simpson Inventory # 6991 acquired for $1,035 Sotheby's 10/21/94 Lot 31 from the estate of Bryce Holcomb. Probably Burkina Faso. Holcomb was for many years the respected director for Tribal art at Pace Gallery in New York.
