An exquisite Art Deco green tourmaline and diamond engagement ring, in platinum, USA, circa 1920's - 1950's. The stunning platinum setting has been prong set with a round tourmaline measuring, approximately, 1.10 carats. The gem is a deep rich green hue, has vivid saturation, medium tone and has very clarity and brilliance. It is complemented by 8 round brilliant cut and baguette cut diamonds totaling, approximately, 0.14 carats. All the gems have very good color (E - G) and clarity (VVS - VS). The ring is in excellent vintage condition, showing only expected signs of wear. It weighs approximately 5.04 grams and is U.K ring size R ( U.S ring size 8 3/4). The face of the ring (including the side stones) measures 0.67 inches (1.7 cm) by 0.28 inches (0.7 cm). It bears a faded partial mark of 10% for 10%IRIDPLATINUM i.e. 900 platinum (confirmed with acid testing). Superb!
