Handsome blue Italian coffee table with hand painted scene on the removable tray top of 2 sailing ships with a light house shown in the background. The scalloped tray has handles either side and painted floral garlands top and bottom. Gilt edging couples with the gilt carved inner frame and designs at each corner. Additional floral painting on the knees of the graceful cabriole legs as well as the scrolled aprons on all sides. The legs and escargot feet outlined in gilt as well. The background dark blue paint shows slight wear as seen but all paint adhering to the wood with no flaking. Otherwise in excellent condition. Very sturdy. Measures 22 L X 19 W X 19 H.
