JUMBO - CANTON RECTANGULAR COVERED HONEY / BUTTER DISH, colorless, cover with "JUMBO" finial, base with two handles, knife rack, feet factory-polished to level, drain hole not punched in base. Canton Glass Co. Fourth quarter 19th century. 7 5/8" HOA, 6 1/2" x 8 1/4" base.
Excellent condition overall with two sliver chips to the underside of one handle, other handle with a flake and minor mold roughness, "JUMBO" finial with a minute annealing check to the middle, as made, minute roughness to the corner of one foot.
Literature: Parallels Reilly/Jenks - Early American Pattern Glass, p. 244, bottom right.
Provenance: Collection of Lynn and Lonnie Sulzberger of Muscatine, IA.

Condition

Excellent condition overall with two sliver chips to the underside of one handle, other handle with a flake and minor mold roughness, "JUMBO" finial with a minute annealing check to the middle, as made, minute roughness to the corner of one foot.
