Description

Probably Southern New England large Sheraton mahogany bowfront chest with four drawers having satinwood crotch veneer panels enclosed by ebony and satinwood string inlay and mahogany banding with beaded edge. With period but not original brasses, on ring turned and reeded tapering feet. 41 1/2" high, 43 1/2" wide, 22" deep. Condition: refinished, age crack to right side. Provenance: James Julia Fine Art, Antiques & Asian Auction Winter 2014.
