Item Details

Description

English George III inlaid mahogany tall case clock, the hood with scrolled broken arch pediment centering a carved urn over crossbanded tombstone door enclosing a painted dial with country estate scene and floral spandrels; the case with double gothic arch door flanked by reeded quarter columns and having fine stringing, crossbanding, and crotch mahogany panels. 91 1/2" high, 21 1/2" wide, 10 1/2" deep. Condition: lock end escutchon replaced, losses to crossbanding and waist molding, the feet likely replaced.
