Description
Antique c. 1910 Solid Sterling EverReady Pocket Light. Art Nouveau scroll and foliate hand engraved case with a red glass "jewel" on button. Original glass dome over bulb. Monogrammed E.G.G. one side and 1910 on the other. Patented by EverReady in 1904. Ever Ready made the first Sterling Silver flashlights about 1904. They used a battery pack that was made of 2 "AA" cells. Since these were hand engraved, each light has its own style. There were several other patterns. EverReady also made these sterling silver vest pocket lights for Tiffanys. Weight 40 grams. Measures 1.50x.75x3". PROVENANCE: a Charleston SC Private Estate.
