This is a decorative and colorful whirligig of a man riding a mule. As the red white and blue blade turns, the mule leans forward and kicks its hind legs while the rider sits up slightly (posts) and moves his arms. The blade and tail are both made of lightweight metal. This piece was likely made around the 1970's and is in extremely good overall condition. Since it was used outdoors the paint has weathered but is still strong. The only loss is to some of the rope tail of the mule, leaving a little nub now. The whirligig is 25" long by 22" high on the newer base. The blade is 18" in diameter.
