An attractive stone Hacha or marker stone from Vera Cruz, c. AD 600 – 900, carved from volcanic rock with narrow head and well-defined fish-like features and wearing a headdress adorned with a hand emerging from a coiled serpent on either side. 7 ¾ in x 6 ¾ in (19.7 x 17.2 cm). A nice example with light deposits and with a custom wood base.
