A George II-style lacquered secretary. American, 20th century. Manufactured by Mainland Smith Ltd. In two parts, the superstructure having a broken arch pediment over a molded cornice and two domed doors opening to a series of drawers and compartments, the base with a fall-front writing surface opening to a fitted interior on two short and two long drawers, raised on shaped bracket feet with lacquered Chinoiserie decoration throughout.
