German, late 19th/early 20th century, round stoneware plaque etched with head of blonde woman surrounded by pink/red-brown irises, gilt rim, impressed abbey trademark with "METTLACH" and conjoined "VB", "2549", "6." and "99", also green stamped Mercury mark with "VILLEROY & BOCH" (smeared), 18 in., [some wear to gilding on rim]; with German stoneware stein with etched Alpine scene of woman standing at stream and greeting two men in lederhosen with firearms and dogs, a village and mountains in the background, pewter thumbpiece, impressed "1754" on bottom; signed with conjoined initials "RD" in decoration, 7-3/4 in., [small nick in glaze at foot], (two articles).
