Description
Rome, Imperial period, ca. 1st to 4th century CE. Three 18 kt gold appliques of the busts of women with long flowing hair and traditional Roman dress grace this modern stringing with small round citrine beads and a gold clasp. These appliques would have graced something expensive when they were made, the property of someone in the upper classes, probably passed down through generations. Size: 18" L (45.7 cm)
