French Louis Philippe Carved Walnut Marble Top Commode, 19th c., the canted corner reeded edge rectangular grey marble over a cavetto carved frieze drawer above three drawers on a plinth base on turned legs, H.- 38 1/8 in., W.- 51 in., D.- 24 1/4 in.

Condition consistent with age and use. Several pea-size chips on the edge of the marble. Scattered light scratches on the top. A dime-size spot and 2 inch streak of yellow discoloration near the front left corner of the marble. An approximate ¼ inch gap in the bottom of the top and bottom drawers. Scattered chips and dents around the drawers. A vertical humidity crack in the veneer on both sides. An approximate 2 inch loss on the upper right back corner. A classic piece.
