In as discovered in a local sale of estate items condition. Ungrommeted hole where lamp exits base suggests item may have been produced as a statue then fitted as an alabaster base lamp perhaps circa 1925. A couple of small edge bruises to alabaster base and generally even finish wear to lotus form lower Chinoiserie base. Cord not exiting second statue base hole but now exiting lower Chinoiserie base suggests perhaps the lower base was added slightly later still, likely circa WWII. Besides roughness at two rear statue holes there is a very small base stress crack above the signature. General bronze patina wear throughout with trace cold painted and gilt remnants. Rear lamp stem screw appears to be an older replacement. While lamp was working at time of photo, electronics are not guaranteed and bulb is not assumed to arrive in working order. Always have electrical items inspected by a licensed electrician prior to use.
