Description
A pair of late Victorian 15ct gold Archeological Revival earrings, circa 1880. Each designed as a tapered drop, with Greek-Key band and rope-twist highlights, suspended from a domed surmount. Length 6cms. Weight 8.4gms.
Overall condition fair to good. Some surface scratches/ wear, discolouration and minor dents in keeping with general age and wear. One earring has been repaired to the tapered terminal. Noticeable dents and fine cracks are present here, together with several fine holes and a small solder repair mark. Small dents are present to Greek eye end of the other earring. Earrings with hook back fittings for pierced ears. Condition reports are offered as a guide only and we highly recommend inspecting any lot to satisfy yourself as to its condition.
