The term 'tennis bracelet’ originates from an incident at the US Open in 1987, when a female contestant stopped the match to look for her lost diamond bracelet. Before, this type of bracelet was called a Rivière bracelet.
Condition:
The bracelet is in good condition, showing traces of usage according to age. The rhodium-plated finish is partly rubbed off. The length is 18.5 cm, and the total weight is c. 25.9 g
It has been common and accepted practice for hundreds of years to enhance color and clarity of colored gemstones by the use of different treatments. Only if such a treatment can unequivocally be excluded the gemstones are stated as “untreated”. (Not applicable to diamonds)
