Description
A 9ct gold Edwardian cross pendant, and a later glass-filled ruby pendant, with chain. The first designed as a plain cross pendant, the second designed as an oval glass-filled ruby pendant, suspended from a trace-link chain. The first with hallmarks for Chester 1909. Lengths of pendants 1.6 and 4.3cms. Length of chain 42.5cms. Total weight 9.1gms.
Overall condition good. Minor surface scratches/wear in keeping with general age and wear. Length of cross pendant exclude suspension loop. Ruby medium very slightly purplish-red, well saturated, with profuse inclusions significantly affecting the passage of light through the stone. Stones in fair condition with some abrasion and minor nibbles to the girdle and facet edges. Please see the Important Notices for Purchasers for coloured gemstones.
