Description
An early 20th century 15ct gold peridot and split pearl pendant, with chain. Of openwork designed, the circular peridot, within a split-pearl and foliate panel, with tapered split-pearl surmount, suspended from a later curb-link chain. AF. Length of pendant 4.4cms. Length of chain 42cms. Total weight 9.1gms.
Overall condition good. Minor surface scratches/wear in keeping with general age and wear. Seed pearls deficient. Peridot bright yellowish-green, well saturated, with good clarity and typical inclusions. Split-pearls silvery-grey, slightly discoloured, with green and pinkish overtones with fairly good lustre. Stones in fair condition with some abrasion and minor nibbles to the girdle and facet edges. Pendant with plaque applied to the reverse marked '15ct' Chain with spring-ring stamped 9ct.
