Large white jade bangle from the 18th Century encompassing metal work of branches and leaves with a jadeite bird from the 19th Century in the center. The white jade bangle is carved with the 8 Buddhist emblems. It is fitted with a round disc of copper-toned metalwork. The metal work includes a hanger that wraps around the jade bangle at the top. Fitted into the metalwork is a green and red jadeite bird with finely carved feathers.
Dimensions of the bangle are 4 7/8 inches in diameter and 3/8 inch thick. The jadeite bird is 3 1/8 inches wide by 1 5/8 inches high. All measurements are approximate.
