Description
This is a very old covered casserole with a distinctive "C" on one side and a backstamp that has Steamer Commonwealth - New England Steamship Company. It measures 7" by 5". It was made by Gorham and it has a date code of a pair of scissors which indicates 1907. The New England Steamship Company was controlled by the New Haven Railroad. NESSCo stopped operating around 1937.
