Description

A group of about 70 slides from the Alan Thomas collection. They all have captions with locations and dates. The subjects are the Maine Central Railroad. A few locations are featured: Bangor, Portland, Beecher Falls, Whitefield, St Johnsbury, Calais, Livermore, etc. A couple of "last steam" shots from 1957 are included. There are a few different formats:

31 old red Kodachromes from 1957-1959
32 roll edge Kodachromes from 1957-1960
11 FD Color that are not sharp like the Kodachromes but they have great subjects

We believe that all of the slides in this auction are Alan Thomas originals without duplicates. If you spot duplicates, let me know. I sort and photograph these quickly so it's up to you to come in person and inspect them in person.
