The ‘Studio’ lamp is a magnificent example of timeless Danish design

Condition:

There are small dents in the shade. The shaft has scattered scratches in the lacquer. The foot cover displays slight traces of use. The lamp was perfectly functioning during a quick in-house test. However, Auctionata cannot guarantee for functionality. The total height of the floor lamp is 149 cm.

Jo Hammerborg (1920-1982)

The Danish designer Jo Hammerborg (1920-1982) finished his training as a silversmith before he entered at the Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts, Copenhagen in 1944. After his employment at Georg Jensen as a silversmith he became 1957 head of design of the lamp manufacturer Fog & Mørup, where he stayed until 1980. (tm)
