Description
ASSORTED METAL LANTERNS, LOT OF THREE, colorless tapered globes, comprising a brass Blackman patented hurricane/skater's example, removable perforated cap with original chain and ring handle, impressed "PAT'D DEC. 24 1867", lightly stepped conical-form font; a brass Blackman's patented hurricane/skaters finger example with patented cap; and a later painted gold Dietz Scout sportsman's example, original globe embossed "DIETZ SCOUT / N.Y. U.S.A.". Period burners. Second half 19th/early 20th century. Skater's lantern 25" H to top of chain, 9 1/4" H to top of cap, 3 3/4" D base.

Skater's example undamaged, underside of base with some minor surface rust; Dietz example with some minor rust; finger example lacking chain and thumbwheel, light denting and globe with a crack, remaining globes undamaged. Burners undamaged.
