Description
ASSORTED CERAMIC TEAPOTS, LOT OF FIVE, comprising two unmarked lustre-glazed on raised, six-pointed feet; one round, fluted with silver lustre and white foliate design, marked "SADLER" on base, one unmarked molded ribbed design having brown glaze with bow; and one molded with Rockingham-style glaze, molded "REBEKAH AT THE WELL" on two sides, and raised "M" on base. Second half 19th/20th century. 6 3/8" to 9" H.
Provenance: Property of The Strong, Rochester, NY, sold to benefit the museum's collections fund.
Three undamaged and 1 1/4" chip and additional small chips to interior flange on one, and scattered hairline cracks on the base of another.
