Description
AMERICAN HISTORICAL MILITARY PRINTS, LOT OF TWO, hand-colored lithograph on paper (each), comprising two Cornwallis surrender scenes, one published by Nathaniel Currier in New York, housed under glass in a 19th-century figured tiger maple frame, and the other published by James S. Baillie in New York, housed in a 19th-century paint-decorated frame. Circa 1845. Currier 13 1/2" x 9 1/2" sight, 16 5/8" x 12 3/4" OA.
Each in good visual condition with minor toning, fading, foxing, and areas of discoloration. Frames with wear, paint-decorated example heavier. Not examined out of frames.
