Mary Chase Perry Stratton, American, 1867-1961. Watercolor on paper depicting a lighthouse. Signed at the lower right. While best known as the founder of Pewabic Pottery, Stratton was an accomplished artist in a variety of mediums. This lovely painting showcases her talent in technique other than sculpting. Minor fading. Image is 12 1/2 x 15 1/2" high, in a simple gilt frame, 15 1/2 x 18 1/2" high. ESTIMATE $600-800
