Description
Pre-Columbian, West Mexico, Jalisco, ca. 300 BCE to 300 CE. This is a seated male pottery figure, painted with a red slip to give him leggings, a necklace, and a round hat; he has obvious genitalia and exaggerated facial features including an enormous thin triangular nose. One of the shaft tomb figures, seated with hands on knees in a posture of waiting. Size: 5" W x 7.7" H (12.7 cm x 19.6 cm)
