Description
A scarce French Limoges c. 1900 hand monogrammed porcelain candlestick carrying two impressive marks. The white Ware mark represents the short lived, but quality potter, the Plainemaison Factory of Limoges, in operation from ca. 1893-1910. The other stamp (faint) is that of RICH & FISHER at 467 5th Ave, NEW YORK City, one of the truly high end retailers in the early and mid 20th century. Measures 4.25x4.25x7.50. Wt. 1 pd 2 oz. PROVENANCE: A Private Charleston SC Estate. Rich & Fisher only dealt in quality Limoges & German porcelains, plus special European Crystal.  There were no less than (6) big name Limoges potters that dealt with Rich & Fisher.
